This set of four notecards all bear a black and white sketch of the Arlington Historical Museum. It was drawn by Donald P. Bowman c. 1985.
The Arlington Historical Museum is in the oldest existing schoolhouse in Arlington County, Virginia, previously known as the Hume School. It was built in 1893 by Washington, D.C. architect B. Stanley Simmons and was named for Frank Hume, a local entrepreneur who donated the land. The school held grades 1-6 and functioned as a school from 1893-1956. Visitors to the museum can still ring the schoolbell.
