Description
Pimmit Run is a 7.8 mile long stream that runs through Fairfax County to the Potomac River at Chain Bridge in Arlington. It was named for John Pimmit who worked for William Fitzhugh (1651-1701), a wealthy landowner with property in several northern Virginia counties, including what would become Arlington. This beautifully illustrated colorful map shows the history and ecology of Pimmit Run. The map was originated and researched by Steve Dryden of Fairfax Trails and Streams, and was illustrated by artist, Ann Chenoweth Sader.
The map is 12 X24″ and comes with a 10-page brochure (9 X 4 in): “Pimmit Run: Map Key and Information” with all historically significant sites in alphabetical order. The map is suitable for framing.
