Learn About Historical Research

Arlington Historical Society’s website and volunteer staff provide research assistance to its members and other interested parties.  This assistance includes:

  • Responding (within certain limitations) to inquiries concerning historic information or artifacts (digital form), that may be (or not) be in our collections;
  • Referral to online resources that can provide answers to historic questions or connect visitors to other organizations that may have such documentation or artifacts;
  • Referral to other organizations such as the Arlington Library, Charlie Clark Center for Local History (CCCLH) that have information and artifacts in their collections.

Collections

The Arlington Historical Society has over 5,000 items in its collection.

Neighborhoods

Arlington has 56 defined neighborhoods.  Each civic association has their own website and documented histories.
