Tyler Harry, a Boy Scout with Arlington’s Troop 164, wanted his Eagle Scout Service project to be historic. As a result, he submitted a proposal in November 2024 to organize the design, construction, and installation of two display cases for the Arlington Historical Society’s Museum. Tyler coordinated the project with the museum’s Collection Manager, Bethany Baker. She said the timing could not have been better since the museum is renovating.
Tyler originally wanted to build one large case, eight feet wide, six feet tall, and two feet deep. But he and Bethany agreed that two smaller cases, four feet wide would be better for the new look and feel of the museum. Tyler did all of the project planning, including design research, organizing a team to do the actual construction, and final delivery.

The new cases were delivered on February 2, 2025 and will soon be filled with artifacts as part of the museum’s reopening later this spring. Bethany said that it was a pleasure to work with Tyler and appreciated his flexibility and professionalism. Arlington Historical Society President Dave Pearson agreed that the new cases will enhance the museum’s new exhibit space.
