Arlington’s rich history is deeply rooted in its diverse communities and proximity to the nation’s capital. Arlington has attracted people from all over the country and brought immigrants from all over the world.

Today, Arlington is a dynamic blend of cultures, reflecting its past as a hub of innovation, social change, and resilience. Its neighborhoods, institutions, and landmarks tell the story of a continually adapting community.

Over 144 languages are now spoken in Arlington.  AHS is committed to diversity and accessibility. We will be working with local communities to provide translations of museum text when possible. The following languages are now available:
