Sandy Newton
On August 2, 2026, Sandy Newton rang the school bell at the end of her last shift as a docent at the Arlington Historical Museum. Sandy has been involved in many AHS projects. Besides being a docent at the Arlington Historical Museum, she has also been a docent at the Ball-Sellers House; a re-enactor of colonial fiber crafts, demonstrating spinning, carding wool, and weaving; and she has led garden tending of the demonstration garden at the Ball-Sellers House. She has helped curate many fiber and material artifacts in the AHS collection. She’s contributed food for events & money for our preservation efforts, and she’s served on the AHS Board of Directors.
Her husband has finally retired so they are moving to the Midwest to be closer to family. Sandy, we will miss you so!
